So as Dr. Khan said,
Sath sath chalte chalte hath chooth jayenge, aisi raaho me milo na
baate baate karte karte raat kat jayengi, aisi raato me milo na,
No this is not what Kabir Khan said, this is Ishq Sufiyana that is playing in backgroud while I am writing this blog.
(do play this song in behind if you want to experience what I am)

I think, I found my chair!!!
So he said : when we are finding our perfect chair, we try several chairs, some look good but doesn’t feel nice, and some that are squeqy to others does’t squeak when its with you!! and you are comfortable with that one.
So point being the perfect chair will be perfect for you, may or maybe not for others, but for you.
Cutting to today, so I have been in different room before C608, there I had a default chair – that was too much tilted backward – always gave me the feeling that I will fall at the back, instead of just enjoying being there I was scared of falling backwards. I was never relaxed on that one. This brings two components that I have discussed in past blog (go read it first: https://thevinaywrites.in/2026/05/05/foundational-pillars-of-relations/) – first is stability and other is dependability, both were missing with that chair.
So one day while coming to my room, I found another yellow bright mango chair, that was same as what I had, but was wayyyyy dirtier. The amount of y should tell how much dirty it was. Literally the dust was in the crevices and sitting let alone touching it would give someone chills. That says the past person who used it treated it very badly, not even cleaned it a day, just putting all the cold drinks food everything and letting the cheeze become the crust on it. The amount of grease and junk on it was aweful. How that person was comfortable living in such a dirty environment is a threat of Humanity. Its personal choice, me being cleanliness freak, need things to be spick and span be it mine or others. But – But – But – As I checked that, that was perfectly stable, and the feet were perfectly balanced too. I took a leap of faith and replaced this with the chair I had. CLEANED it thoroughly with dettol and as much as I could. It still was not perfect but it was what I say “sittable”. From that day as I stayed with that chair, it slowly got cleaner, the patches of dust started to fade out. It was getting more clean, and the stability since it always had – that gave me the space to think and focus on my work – rather than trying to balance and not to fall back. I was able to perfectly depend on the chair, and was able to progress in my field, got a major publication working from that room, and then secured the admission to highly competitive phd program and the chair was well taken care of as well. So it was a good partnership.
As time passed, its been 2 years in that same room, I had to think ahead and find a more peaceful place to stay. Due to the heatwaves and el-nino thingy, I had to change my room from 6th floor to 1st floor. Moving ahead I shifted all of the things, the larger things first then the tiny ones – it took me 15 round trips to shift me from one floor to another the whole set of items.
Due to the policy of hostel, we can’t shift the furniture from one room to another without permission. The chair, my favourite chair had to stay in that room, as it was the property of that room.
In the new room I got 2 chairs, one similar to the yellow one but better and clean, could say that is new. and other one the old rusty black leather one filled with some dust and looked wobbly. So me being biased just picked the one which was same as my old, the yellow chair. It was good not much of an issue. But the urge to sit on that chair was that much, also the back support was not good – giving me cervical issues due to over sitting. But that was the only option available so ordered the backrest etc to keep things in good condition.
After 3 days, I looked at the black leather chair, the one I saw 2 years ago too, but I chose the yellow chair instead. I thought to give it a try. Cleaned it, dusted it. Sat on it.
And suddenly a feeling hit me, it felt sooooo gooooood, It felt so comfortable, it felt so peaceful for the spine that I have, and this had no bells and whistles -but it just felt like this is what completes me, this is what I feel the most comfortable with!!! It being old and rusty may be not good for others, but to me – that just gives the pleasure and support to my spine that none fancy plasticy chair could go.
And there I remembered the thing about Chairs, that Dr Kabir said 🙂 Ok It was not Kabir, it was Dr. Jug, urf Jehangir Khan,
Trying Options: When you go to buy a chair, you do not just settle for the first one you see. You sit on many different ones. Some are too high, some too low, and some feel completely wrong.
No Guilt: Trying out different chairs is normal. You don’t blame yourself for the chairs that don’t fit; instead, you keep trying until you find the one that feels perfectly comfortable.
Application to Life: He explains that it is perfectly okay to date or be in multiple relationships. You are simply “trying out” different connections to figure out what truly makes you happy and comfortable.
So, “Kaira, have you ever bought a chair?”
“Kaira, have you ever found your chair?”
“Kaira, you will surely find your chair!!”
I just loved this para from this author “Now, don’t get me started with ‘perfect relationship’ or ‘the one’, because everyone creaks from time to time; you just gotta stick until you can no longer bear that annoying squeaking sound. (Read further here: https://steemit.com/love/@ablckbrd/the-chair-creaked-a-love-analogy-in-dear-zindagi-movie)”

Hope you find your chair soon, and could stick around with it for the longest possible time!!
See Ya Var Raam Chandra ki Jai 🙏🏻
